crafted by hand
guided by story. made to last

At Bryn Siriol Studios, every piece is more than just an object, it’s a connection to craftsmanship, character, and care. Whether it’s for everyday use or a meaningful gift, we offer a range of handcrafted items designed to be both beautiful and personal.

Every piece we create begins with a story. Our answer is shaped slowly, with care and intention. Whether it’s a hand turned pen, a keepsake, or a custom crafted commission; what we offer is a response from the hand, guided by heart and grounded in purpose. This is our way of meeting needs: personally, beautifully, and made to last.

While most pieces are shared in person at fairs and festivals, inquiries are warmly welcomed. If something here resonates, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Handcrafted. Inspired. Uncompromised.

The Wind Y Gwynt

by Dafydd ap Gwilym

Wind, you're wondrous strong and free,
Horseman of the sky and sea,
Messenger that none may stay,
Whirlwind rider, night or day.

No gate can hold you, no hill detain,
You rush through valleys, sun or rain.
Across the forests, swift you fly,
Unseen shadow in the sky.

Take this sigh, this breath of mine,
Through tangled oak and twisted pine—
Carry it to the one I adore,
Whisper love at her door.

WHat We Create

  • Bespoke Writing Instruments: From classic wooden pens to sleek acrylic designs, our pens are carefully turned and finished by hand. We also offer two-toned designs in our Twin Flame Collection, and limited-run seasonal pens that reflect the tones and materials of the moment.

  • Functional Woodcrafts: We create practical, artful pieces such as chopping boards, clocks, writing boards, bottle openers, and even hand-carved utensils. Each item is made with care from upcycled or reclaimed wood, full of history and natural beauty.

  • Matching Keyrings & Companion Pieces: For those who enjoy the details, we offer matching keyrings and sets to pair with selected pens and accessories, ideal for gifting or keeping your essentials uniquely yours.

  • Crochet Hook Sets: For the creative hands among us, we offer beautifully made crochet hook sets with interchangeable heads, combining function, comfort, and artisan charm. Handles can be wood or acrylic, often crafted to match other pieces in our collections.

  • Custom Commissions: Have a piece of personal wood or a vision in mind? We’re honoured to work with you to create custom commissions, from turning sentimental wood into usable keepsakes, to bespoke tool handles or display items that tell your story.

  • Seasonal & Themed Collections: We release limited-edition collections inspired by nature’s cycles and the world around us like the soft coastal tones of The Seabright Collection, or the reclaimed richness of The Heartwood Collection. Once they're gone, they’re gone.

FAQ's

  1. Can I choose the color tones or finishes for my item?

Yes, where possible. Each item is handcrafted and many are one of a kind, but we’re happy to work with you to find the tones or finishes that best suit your preferences. Whether you love lighter grains, deeper hues, or something with more contrast, we’ll do our best to align the piece with your vision.

  2. Can I request a custom material for my pen or item?

Absolutely. We love working with materials that hold meaning for you—whether it’s wood from a family heirloom, a tree on your land, or simply something you’ve kept for years. Let us know your story, and we’ll see what’s possible. We also have a rotating selection of reclaimed and rare woods available upon request.

  3. I’m passionate about penmanship; can you create a pen that suits my writing style?

We deeply appreciate the art of writing, and understand that a pen isn’t just about ink—it’s about feel, flow, and intention. If you have a particular writing style, grip, or preference (broad strokes, fine lines, etc.), let us know. We’ll recommend or shape a pen that feels right in your hand and moves with your rhythm.

  4. How long does a custom or commission piece take to complete?

This depends on the materials, the complexity of the request, and the season. Most custom pieces take between 2 to 4 weeks to complete, not including shipping. If you have a special date in mind, let us know early as we’ll always do our best to make it work.

  5. What kind of ink cartridges do your pens use?

Our pens are designed to be compatible with standard international ink cartridges. Each pen is tested for smoothness and flow before it leaves the studio. If you have a specific ink color or brand you prefer, we’re happy to guide you toward the best match or include a recommended starter cartridge with your order.
